July 14th & 15th 2007
Due to increasing costs and decreasing attendance at our annual carnivals, we at the South Connellsville volunteer fire company have decided that future carnivals are no longer in our price range. We have decided to try something a little different this year by combining several things that have brought the community out and we believe was a good time by all.
Starting this year, along with the support of the Borough we are looking to start an annual event at the playground for two consecutive days ( July 14th and 15th ) during the day for families and friends from the surrounding area to get together, have some fun, enjoy some games, food and activities at the playground and the fire station. Arts and crafts vendors will have the opportunity to set-up tables as well as a flea market for the two day event.
Our planning so far this year includes:
hopefully some other things will come up as we get to planning. If anyone has ideas please send us an email or contact one of our members.
We are looking for someone to do face painting and or airbushing, tattooes, a clown or something along these lines
Also anyone whom may have old pictures of South Connellsville or any other articles of historic nature please contact Dave Wiltrout at 724-628-4841 and leave a message. Anyone who wishes to setup tables for arts and crafts or the flea market please call the same number and leave a message as well
